St. Maria Goretti, Virgin/Martyr
Born to a peasant family in Italy, on July 6, 1902, at 12 years of age, solicited to sin, she preferred to be stabbed to death rather than lose her virginity. She died pardoning her murderer and praying for his conversion, which she obtained. She was canonized in 1950 by Pope Pius XII, with her own elderly mother and murderer in attendance. -

The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) serves in apostolates across the world, with the faithful celebration of the traditional Mass and Sacraments (Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite) at the center of their charism.
