One of the most beautiful things about the Latin mass at our parish, is that the congregation really SINGS. When newcomers attend high mass, it can be such an inviting aspect of the liturgy (along w/ fellowship in the hall, of course!): to hear the church sing!
However, the same mass setting week in and week out can get a little tired, so we have embarked on the journey to learn more than one setting of the ordinary (Kyrie, Gloria, etc).
Now that we have mastered Mass XVII, which is for Sundays in Advent and Lent, I thought summer would be a good time to introduce a new setting of the Creed.
Credo I is more “subdued” in comparison to Credo III, which is more for festive seasons.
To help facilitate learning, here is a video w/ the music notation you can use to start singing along:
We will sing this Credo EVERY Sunday, starting June 5th, until Advent (except for any sung feast days).
So you have plenty of time to learn and join us in proclaiming our faith in song!
