Dear Parishioners,
The choir hopes you will join us this week at high mass to celebrate Christ as King over all the earth, and over all people: the church militant, the church triumphant, and the church suffering!
There will be a procession tomorrow following 9am mass, and booklets for the music will be handed out by ushers.
The following choral music will be sung to glorify God on these great feasts, and to pray for the souls in purgatory. Also, I have a document with translations of the music for your personal use to mediate upon, and it includes a richer, more accurate translation of the sequence “Dies Irae” than what you find in your missal.
I hope you will find both the beauty and theological depth of the texts of our music edifying for prayer during the beautiful liturgies this week!
