I would like to encourage ALL to come out and see, hopefully what will be the first of many Christmas Pageants, at Mater Dei!

The St. Cecilia girls Choir will lead us all in singing the many Christmas carols that are interspersed into the play’s narrative. The volunteers who have coordinated the actors and props/scenery have done an AMAZING job, and you would be hard pressed to find such detailed sets and costumes for a children’s Christmas pageant anywhere.

So show your support and come join us! Audience sing-along will be encouraged!

The play will be THIS Saturday, Dec. 19th at 6pm in the parish hall. The play will be about 20-30minutes in length. Potluck dinner will follow for those who would like to stay.

Dear Parishioners:

The time is approaching for the penitential season of Advent. In light of that, the choir will be singing a different, simpler mass setting in harmony with the season. Chant Mass XVII is typically designated for Sundays in Advent and Lent, and was the setting we sung during Lent earlier this year. This will be our regular mass setting for all penitential seasons throughout the year.

We really want the congregation to start to know it better and sing with us! So I have included here is a video channel on youtube, courtesy of Corpus Christi Watershed, that you can use to familiarize yourself better with Kyrie, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei of Mass XVII:

 

 

For any who might be interested in listening in, I will be interviewed LIVE,  on 910 AM during the Good News program, at 12noon, Monday November 23rd.
