All Hallows Eve Party ~ Monday, Oct. 31st ~ 6:30-9:00pm

We will begin with the Rosary in church at 6:30, followed by a Litany of Saints in the parish hall at 7pm sharp.

Children are invited to dress as saints and to go ‘A-Souling’.

Please contribute 20 pieces of candy for each participating child, and attach to each piece the name of a departed soul for whom the children will pray. There will be a box in the parish hall to collect the candy donations until Sunday, October 30.

We are in need of adults & older teens to decorate, set-up & clean-up. We also need a few more people to dress up to distribute candy from a classroom or we will have fewer rooms for the children to go to.

Please submit names of the departed that you would like to include in the All Souls Masses as soon as possible. The names will remain on the altar for the month of November. If you have submitted names in the past for this purpose, you need not submit them again, we saved those lists – we are just looking to add to them now.

About 40 Days for Life

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion. It draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:

• Prayer and fasting
• Constant vigil
• Community outreach

Mater Dei Day at Planned Parenthood in Duncanville

October 20th from 6am to 6pm is Mater Dei’s Day at the prayer vigil for Planned Parenthood in Duncanville, located at 7989 West Virginia Drive, Dallas 75237 (off of Wheatland Rd between Cockrell Hill and Hampton). Our parish is responsible to fill all the hours that day with public witnesses praying for an end to abortion. Other Dallas Area Events during 40 Days for Life 2016

The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life is a focused, 40-day, non-stop, round-the-clock prayer vigil outside Planned Parenthood center or other abortion facilities in the community.

It is a peaceful and educational presence. Those who are called to stand witness during this 24-hour-a-day presence send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion. It also serves as a call to repentance for those who work at the abortion center and those who patronize the facility.

Plano PP 40 Days is open from 7am to 7pm,  Duncanville PP 40 Days is open 6am to 6pm. Prayer vigils will be held every day of the week from now til November 6th.

October 20th is Mater Dei’s Day at Duncanville, 6am to 6pm.

October 29th at 7pm at Duncanville PP will be the United 40 Days National Rally.  This will include the bus which has been touring all the continental states during the 40 Days to provide a United prayer presence to help end abortion in our nation. Members of the national 40 Days for life will be there!

Along with Honoring Our Blessed Mother with flowers, songs and prayers in the parish hall, we will celebrate the day as a community with food, friends and games in and around the parish buildings.

Please bring a food item to share with others and beverages/personal picnic supplies for your family.  There will be an outdoor tent, bounce house and team games such as Volleyball, Football, Basketball and Frisbee.  There will also be organized activities for the little ones (and older ones).

Pie Contest & Cupcake Walk:  Mark your pie with a 3×5 card showing your name, email or phone number and the kind of pie it is (No refrigerated/cold pies please).  Please consider bringing cupcakes and/or cookies to donate which will be used in a Cupcake Walk until all the items are gone!  Please no refrigerated items.

NOTE:  Parishioners may invite family and friends. [Not open to the public] Donations will be accepted to cover costs
