The Bishop’s Visit: The Fruits of Mater Dei

The Most Reverend Bishop Edward Burns has announced his coming on the Feast Day of St. Anne! Over the years, the community of Mater Dei has grown. God’s grace, mercy, and fruits have been abundant in the life of Mater Dei – from increased parishioners, baptisms, confirmandi, first communicants, marriages, religious vocations, processions, adorations, and rosaries to the perseverance of the community through the challenges of life. The fruits of Mater Dei have been noticed and spoke volumes to the bishop of Dallas. Rev. Peter Bauknecht, our pastor, has requested for all parishioners to unite in prayer and welcome the bishop to Mater Dei on the Feast Day of St. Anne, the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let us place our care into her hands as we present our parish home to the bishop on this special day.

8:00 p.m. Meet & Greet the Bishop/ Refreshments/ Music

9:30 p.m. Closing

Note: Prayers will begin under the Pavillion. Prepare for the outdoor event and limited parking. Seats, water, drinks, refreshments and plenty of shade will be available.
